Montage of New Scanner after January 19th

According to the Hospital Director Doctor Milan Milic, on Wednesday January 19th the removal of the old scanner in Pancevo hospital should begin. The new scanner will be put immediately after that. The montage of the new scanner should take about a week and after that the patients could use it, Stated Doctor Milic for Radio Pancevo. He has also stated that the gauze situation is improving, but the supplies are still not on optimal level.

Hygiene Packages for Roma People

Town administration gave hygiene packages to Roma citizens from Association Little London. The packages were financed with the money from the budget. The last of these packages will be given for Easter, When this action should finish, stated Council Healthcare Member Doctor Novica Djordjevic. 414 packages were bought for 320 000 dinars, and the package contain 3kg of detergent, 4 soaps and one shampoo.

 

Radio Pancevo Increases Number of Listeners

The number of listeners of Radio Pancevo has increased. According to the poll of Strategic Marketing the listening rate in November was 12 shares. This means that on every 100 citizens, who at that moment listed to some radio station, 12 were listening to Radio Pancevo.

 

Second Term Starts in Schools

After the winter holidays, children are back in schools. Only student of Gymnasium in Pancevo will continue their holidays until January 19th due to repairing of school. 15th of February is a bank holiday and St Sava Day, January 27th will be work day for schools, but without lectures. The spring break should start on April 22nd and last until May 4th.

LDP: “Naprednjaci” Wish Promotion with Constitution Amendments

In order to change part of the Constitution to decrease the number of parliament members from 250 to 125, “Naprednjaci” have collected over 300 000 signatures. The proposal will be discussed in March, stated National Assembly Chairman Slavica Djukic Dejanovic. Town committee of Liberal Democratic Party in Pancevo is of the opinion that this means the change only from outside in order to get more votes, LDP council in the town assembly Dejan Ilic stated.

 

Women to Pension with 60, Men with 65 Years

From January 1st, women get go to pension with at least 15 years of employment and 60 years of life, while the condition for men is 15 years and 65 years of life. This is the new law on Pension Insurance, which will not change until 2013. From 2013 the age limit for women will increase by 4 months annually until 2022.

 

Sabac Milk Company Increases Price of Milk

Sabac Milk Company stated that the increase of price of milk and diary products will be for 1 to 2 percent, because the increased price of packages, stated director Zoran Matic This is yet another company on Serbian market to increase the price of milk in the past month.

Somboled Company Increases Price of Milk Tomorrow

Somboled Company will increase the price of milk for two dinars per liter, while the price of diary products should remain the same, it was stated in the company. The decision on the increase of prices came as in December 2010, the purchase price of milk was increased for 10 to 12%. The similar situation is the EU and company continues to monitor the prices, which are expected to increase even more in the first quarter of 2011.

 

Certified Health Cards Valid for Two Years

The amendment in Rulebook on health cards, the certified health cards should continue to be valid in the next two years, that is until 31st December 2012. In the statement sent to all Units for Health Insurance, the health cards will be certified, regardless of the payment from employers, if they were valid on 31st December 2010.

 

New Year Celebration According to Julian Calendar

New Year is just a few hours away. Though there is no official town celebration for Orthodox New Year, in the near-by village of Starcevo, DJs are set to perform, and guests will be greeted with free wine and brandy on the main village square Trg Neolita. Still, all places in Pancevo’s caffees and restaurants are to be filled. In Belgrade the traditional fire works at midnight in front of Saint Sava Church is expected. Police Directorate urges drivers not to drive if drinking alcohol.

Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) Increases the Price of Petrol

Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) increased the price of petrol since midnight. The prices are higher for about three dinars per liter, Oil Industry stated. Euro Premium is 128,6 Serbian dinars, Euro Diesel 122,5, BMB 95 is 118,4 dinars, while D2 diesel is 110 Serbian dinars. On 480 Serbian Oil Petrol Pumps the price was increased because of the rise of price of raw oil and increase of taxes from January 1st, it was stated in the company.

 

Working Group for Prevention of Domestic Violence

In order to reduce the domestic violence, working group was established at the end of lat year. Town Security Council, in whose scope the Group operates adopted the annual reports on plans for preventing violence, and the newly elected members should get legitimacy after the adoption of the Action plan and should start working.

 

Social Democratic League of Vojvodina in Pancevo: Town Has Devided Residential Area

Town Committee of Social Democratic League of Vojvodina has submitted request to Town Council today warning of the division of Skrobara area. They said that half of the settlement got telephone switches and bus stops while the other half were left out. This presents the division between citizens, members of the League stated on today’s press conference.

 

Emergency Room in Pancevo Had 30% More Interventions in January

The abrupt weather changes had bad influence on health of citizens in Pancevo. The emergency room had 30% more interventions than usual, stated head Dr Miroslav Tepsic. Cardiovascular and chronic patients were strongly affected and there had been more colds. Dr Tepsic advises the elderly not to go out too much when the weather is cold.

Price of Milk Increases

Milk Company Imlek from Belgrade has increased the price of milk for two Serbian dinars per liter, and dairy products one dinar per liter, it was stated in the company today. The reason for the increase of the price of milk is the rise of the price of raw milk from 32 to 33, 1 diner per liter.

 

New Acting Director of Oil Refinery in Pancevo

Miodrag Misa Bogojevic is the new acting director of the Oil Refinery in Pancevo. He replaced Ljubica Simic in that position. Mrs Simic has given consent notice in the beginning of this year and she will no longer work in oil Refinery.

 

More Expensive Cigarettes

British American Tobacco Company has increased the prices of cigarettes in Serbia from 5 to 20 Serbian dinars per cigarette pack. Phillip Morris and Japan Tobacco Company have already increased their prices of cigarettes in Serbia. The reason for this is the increase of taxes on cigarettes from January 1st this year.

 

Safe Home Shelter by Summer in Pancevo

Safe Home Shelter in Pancevo should be finished in the beginning of summer. The shelter is established for the victims of home violence, and is built on the area of 270 square meters. Around 25 persons could live in it. The victims of violence were mainly sent to safe homes in Belgrade until now. The home was built withe the help from the Provincial Fund and the Oil Industry NIS and B92 fund donations of 140 000 Euro. There is still no money for its interior.
