New Scanner in Pancevo Hospital Starts to Work on Wednesday

After ten months of waiting, new scanner in Pancevo Hospital should begin to work on Wednesday at 13.00. The new scanner was received in November last year, and it stayed unpacked until the Province administration did not provide money for installation and training of radiologists and technicians.

 

Careful Treating of Wheat Crops

In the fields around Pancevo farmers have planted around 23 000 acres of crops, mainly wheat. February is the month for continuing of fertilizing the crops. The results of Tamis Institute have showed that there is more nitrogen in the fields than expected and that fertilizing of crops should be done with caution. The weather conditions have not been favorable for crops in the past month.

 

Unlawful Treat

The treat of Ministry for Education that education professionals on strike after 7th February should receive smaller wages is unlawful, stated union representatives, who are still on strike. President of Association of Teachers and Professors Slobodanka Cvetkovic stated for Radio Pancevo that the school directors have received these information on Friday. This decision does not exist in any law or any other act and Minster Obradovic will have to explain it, she added.

 

International Day of Rare Diseases

The Day of Rare Diseases, 28th February, is marked by various organisations in the world as well as European organisation for Rare Diseases with its partners. The slogan for this year is "Rare and Equal“, stated national organisation for Rare Diseases of Serbia. European organisation for rare diseases has set the Daz of Rare Diseases in 2008 in order to raise awareness about rare diseases, and social and health support to provide them easier life.
