Oil Industry of Serbia Completes Renovation of Railway Filling Place
Oil Industry of Serbia has finished the modernization of railway filling place of Oil Rafinery in Pancevo. Meters were built in on 24 filling spots. The investment is worth nearly four million Euro and should improve state of environment, as it should solve the problem of emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. The financing of the project is provided by Gasprom Neft and should lessen the emission of hydrocarbons and safe transfer of products.
Utility Policemen Get Equipment
Utility Policemen should begin their work on spring in Pancevo. Public procurement for buying of equipment and vehicles should be completed by then. The first ten policemen out of planned 20 have completed their training. The engagement of the other ten policemen depends on financial resources. The town budget is not sufficient for financing the other ten policemen, stated local government. Utility policemen should begin their work in the middle of April.
Six High School Students from Pancevo on State Math Competition
Six high school students from Pancevo have managed to enter the state Math Competition, which will be held on 19th March in Nis. In competition organised for students from South Banat area out of 41 candidates 32 were from Pancevo. The competition was organized by Mathematics Society from out town.
Higher Prices of Electricity and Cigarettes from March 1st
Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic announced that electricity prices will be increase, except for citizens with low social standard, which makes about million families. Company Phillip Morris also announced that the prices of cigarettes will be increased from March 1st, because of taxes increase in the beginning of the year.
