Professors and Teachers in Pancevo Start Protests

Around 400 teachers and professors in Pancevo started their protest walk today. They demand from the local government money for travel costs for November this year. Educational staff also demands money for functioning of schools, education of the staff and the money for annual awards for teachers and students. The meeting between the representatives of employees and Major is scheduled for 15.00.

Petrochemical Plant Ending the Year with Deficit

Petrochemical Plant is ending the business this year with deficit. The forecast predicts the monthly loss at about 3 million Euro. Still, the deficit is lower than last year. New investments in ecological projects are planned for next year. Country’s greatest exporter is working with the help of equipment from the 70s and ecology standards should be met. Even so, it seems that even the larger exporter and the winner of the best brand award will finish the year with deficit.

Film Work Shops on In Trash Festival

Dom omladine (Youth House) and Union 86+ organized the Third Festival of Short Film "In Trash”. Th special project is the workshop for high school students, which is moderated by director Ognjen Glavonic. The screening of films made during the workshop is scheduled for tomorrow at 20.00.
