Pancevo to Get another Twin Town

Pancevo should get another twin town today. The representatives of Pancevo and Bulgarian town of Bela Slatina will sign the charter on cooperation. The cooperation is based on good relations for many years. The charter will be signed by Mayor Mrs Martinovic, municipality president of Bela Slatina Vencislav vasilev and representatives of communities Ivanovo from Serbia and Geran from Bulgaria. Bulgarian Am”assador Georgi Dimitrov will also be present at the signing of the charter.

Main Project for Building of Olympic Swimming Pool in Preparation

Masinprojekt Kopring enterprise from Belgrade will draft the main project for building of closed Olympic swimming pool in Valjevska street in Pancevo. The investor is Directorate for Building in Pancevo, and the building of the pool could cost up to 7 million euro.

Still without Nitroglycerin in Pancevo Pharmacies

Even though it has been announced that nitroglycerin should be in pharmacies around Serbia, the medicine will still not appear in pharmacies in Pancevo. According to deputy director of Pancevo Pharmacy Dubravka Hohnjec the pharmacies have received minimum insufficient amounts of this medicine recently. The procurement of the medicine is a process, which lasts, so there will be no nitroglycerin in pharmacies tomorrow.

World Health Day

People's health around Europe is endangered due to increasing phenomenon: many bacteria are resistant to antibiotics, which are used as therapy. This problem is in focus on today world health day. Public Health Institute in Pancevo organised the lecture on misuse of antibiotics.

Belgrade for Japan Action

Belgrade for Japan action is organized so that citizens of Belgrade and other cities could display public support for the people of Japan, hit by severe earthquake. The event is scheduled for Sunday April 10^th at noon in republic Square in Belgrade. Japan’s people helped people in Serbia many times through donations during the time of crisis and wars.
